Biggest Ever Star Wars Fortnite Collaboration to Begin on May 2

Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld Premieres Exclusively in Fortnite As Disney Deepens Epic Games Partnership

Disney and Epic Games are beginning an exciting and expansive Star Wars collaboration in Fortnite, which will feature an in-game premiere of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld ahead of its Disney+ debut on May 4. This is the first time a Disney+ series has debuted in a game. Star Wars Fortnite: Galactic Battle begins on May 2, featuring new Star Wars content and gameplay.

As the Star Wars Fortnite partnership deepens, the companies plan to launch a new playable world based on Disney IP. Players will be able to link their Epic Games accounts to their My Disney accounts, setting them up for future experiences. Users who link their accounts on this Star Wars Fortnite game will get a special Stormtrooper skin.

Fans will be able to view a Star Wars Watch Party island inside Fortnite, and the players on the Island can also battle enemies as they watch. This is the first for Disney+, and it will give fans a new, exciting experience that helps shape a future for digital entertainment, where players can play, create, and connect.

Star Wars Fortnite ushers in a new era of social entertainment and offers a glimpse into the future of interactive gaming experiences. It will ultimately reimagine the Star Wars universe through Fortnite’s immersive storytelling, one of the world’s most beloved franchises. Disney has announced a $1.5 billion investment in Epic Games, and after Star Wars, it might also bring Marvel to Fortnite.

What’s More in Store for Star Wars Fortnite Fans?

Disney wants to create a universe where their stories can come to life. With Star Wars Fortnite, they have managed to do just that. In 2019, Star Wars Fortnite fans were able to watch an exclusive clip from The Rise of Skywalker. In the new Star Wars Fortnite collaboration, fans can play as Jar Jar or Emperor Palpatine and pilot ships like X-wings and TIE Fighters. At the end of the season, they will be able to witness an epic in-game live event, Death Start Sabotage.

Star Wars Watch Party Island goes live on May 2, and players will be able to view the first two episodes of the new anthology and have the opportunity to fight Stormtroopers using blasters and lightsabers. The Star Wars Watch Party Island uses official Star Wars assets and the environment is inspired by a galaxy far, far away.

Both episodes will be available till May 11, at which point Star Wars Watch Party Island will no longer be live. The Tales of the Underworld anthology by Lucasfilm Animations is a six-episode series in the style of the Clone Wars that follows Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane. Asajj will find herself face to face with a new chance at life and perhaps a new ally, while Bane will be forced to confront his past.

Fortnite has dominated the gaming space since its launch in 2017, and its collaborations with giants like Disney have helped it maintain its status. Epic Games has mastered the art of building hype through limited-time skins, themed challenges, and cinematic trailers that turn every season into an event. With Disney+ shows and film releases often aligning with in-game events, the synergy between franchises boosts visibility and drives in-game purchases. As Fortnite evolves, its strategy of partnering with entertainment powerhouses remains a cornerstone of its global success.
